The apocalypse continues

Lucas grows up shortly after Leo. (As sometimes happens, the graduation ceremony waits, if the graduation will still take place in the same sim week. So, graduation will take place on a Friday. Both Lawrence and Leo have had Wednesday and Thursday off work, so a Friday graduation isn’t great for them. But it did give the full day Thursday to call and talk to boss and co-workers.)

Knowing graduation would be the next day, Lucas waits until the morning to look in the paper for the job. Thus, he won’t lose a day to graduation and have to get a new job.

He scored a coveted entertainment job and immediately bought a guitar and started practicing. I wasn’t sure if the sims were allowed to attend graduation (though city hall and library are in their network), so I cancelled the action and they graduated at home. (Zoom graduation anyone?)

In addition to the new diplomas and awards, Lawrence received his gardening skill plaque too.

Lawrence took Brook to the park with him one last time before returning home and aged into an elder himself.

The uncontrollable elders spend a lot of time just interacting with each other, but Lawrence will interrupt others activities to try and take pics with them, so it’s often to best to engage him in a game of chess. Brook continues to sketch and water the plants and lick any plate left lying around. The best news is that Lawrence can continue to work because he maxed athletics.

Matthew too has maxed a skill – writing!

I’ve been on the fence about who will be the next heir. Lucas has pretty blond hair and a softer jaw line, but a more prominent nose. Matthew has a sweet facial expression – something about his eyes and less prominent nose, but a much more square shape to his jaw.

Both are good friends with a one-time paper girl, who should have aged to young adult by now, but is hanging on to her teen years.

Lawrence got the opportunity to read a book for work. By virtue of having nothing much else to do, he did eventually decide to read the book in his backpack. He didn’t finish it before work the next day, but he still managed that last promotion. Unfortunately, you’ll never see him as a mad scientist because he is forever singed, having been singed at least three times at work!

Lucas too got an opportunity to read a book for work.

Leo works in the culinary field. (YAY, Leo!) And Lucas, of course at the theatre. They both have been meeting co-workers and skilling up well so far.

The real god send has been the television that they can now watch from 5p.m. until midnight on weekends, and even longer on weekends. Thanks, Lawrence, for clearing science! (He is finishing that book for work now even though he had already made it to the top.)

Finally Matthew grows up. He wonders if the Llama mascot will turn up again. Hm, another choice for a spouse, maybe?

Leo and Lucas both get off work at 9 p.m., but that’s a chance to play some guitar and watch t.v. until midnight.

Until next time when we’ll have another graduation and find out what job Matthew gets, as well as who is heir and becomes the spouse.
